She was a native of Booneville, KY born Sep 8, 1918, to the late Dan Sally Barrett.
She was the widow of Dayly Barrett who died in 1992. Survivors include her 9 children Barbara L. Babturk, Lexington, Betty Sue Burge, husband Bob, Corinth, Wanda C. Nikula, husband Larry, FL, Ellen Hudson, husband Warren, Lexington, Wayne Barrett, wife Lisa, Lexington, Kenneth Barrett, wife Mary, Lexington, Charles Barrett, wife Judy, Winchester, Nancy McKee, husband Jesse, Lexington, and Stephen Barrett, 30 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Robert Barrett, a great grandson Stephen D.
Barrett, 5 sisters and 5 brothers. Services will be 1pm Mon, April 21, at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Tom King officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Taylor, most recently was a resident of Nicholasville and Monticello, KY, served 4 years in the 11th Airborne Division. He was former owner of Kays Drug Store, Monticello, KY. Taylor served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church, Monticello, KY. Also 50 year member of Charles H. McKenney Lodge and the Scottish Rite.
He currently was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Peggy Mixon Moore; sons, Taylor Moore, III, Versailles, KY, David Moore, Georgetown, KY; daughter, Sharon Bertram (Charles), Lexington, KY; grandson, Michael Bertram, Lexington, KY; sister, Helen M. Scruggs (James Knoxville, TN; brother-in-law, Hayward E. Mixon, Knoxville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Newby was a member of the Mt. Edwin Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Holt Newby of Versailles and her sister, Aileen Newland of Louisville. 3 nephews and 1 niece also survive.
Graveside services will be held 2pm Sun, April 20, 2008 at the Versailles Cemetery with Gilbert Sargent and Ronn Pelfrey officiating. He was born Dec 7, 1924 in Pineville, KY to the late Howard B. and Bette Turner Asher. Besides his wife, Mr. Asher is survived by two daughters, Pat Asher (Russell) Foley and Judy AsherConners, both of Versailles; one son, Michael (Cathy) Asher of Lexington, one sister, Sandra Williams-Gustafson of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Rebecca Jackson (Jermaine), Michelle Irvin (Jason), Austin Asher, Joshua Asher, Drew Conners, all of Lexington, and Adam Asher Conners of Cincinnati; three great grandchildren, Caleb Joy, Isaiah Joy, and Cameron Irvin.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra O'Hara Asher. Mr. Asher served with the U.S. Army in WWII as a Corporal and fought in the European Theater, Battle of the Bulge. He received an honorable discharge in 1946.
He was also an employee of KY Utilities, as a superintendent of Tyrone Power Plant, for 34 years until his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed an early retirement with his family and grandchildren and spent time touring the U.S. and Canada on his motorcycle. To honor Mr. Asher's request, there will only be a private family ceremony.

LAGRANGE David Pryor Brown, 41, formerly of LaGrange, passed away Fri, April 18, 2008. He was a disabled American Veteran, having served in the Navy on the USS Sterett in the Persian Gulf for 18 months. He graduated from Oldham County High School, Class of 1985. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Agriculture Economics. He is the former president of the Great Meadows Angus Association and was active in the UK Alumni Association and several civic organizations.
He was a member of the LaGrange United Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents, Allan Barclay and Linda Brown of Gilbertsville, brothers: Allan W. Brown (Ginger) of Plano, TX, Dr. Barclay T. Brown (Melissa) of Winchester; sisters: Laura L.
Rankin (Jeff) of Simpsonville and Martha A. Hamilton (Lee) of LaGrange and 10 nephews.
